Hotel & Travel
Our discounted group rate ended March 9. Guest rooms still may be available through Sheraton reservations. You may also use travel websites such as Trivago.com, Hotels.com, or Booking.com to find accommodations. Please consider transportation logistics when you select your hotel.
NextMed / MMVR22 will take place at the center of the center of the global simulation industry. Downtown Los Angeles is booming as people opt out of the traditional LA freeway commute and spend their time in nearby restaurants, concerts, bars, galleries, museums, theaters, department stores, and boutiques. Glass towers and historic Art Deco style form the backdrop of a newly vibrant focal point in one the world's most eclectic and creative cities.
The Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown Hotel is our host hotel. Having just completed a $45M renovation, it will be an impressive home for our 2016 conference. Dining, shopping, entertainment, and culture are within easy walking distance.
Our discounted group rate is $189, plus taxes, for single or double occupancy. (This discounted group rate was offered through March 9, 2016 only.) Please note the hotel's payment and cancellation policy. If you need to change or cancel your reservation, please contact the Sheraton directly.
(Beware of hotel room scams! The hotel industry is fighting a growing problem of companies that contact conference participants to request reservations. These are often fraudulent. Victims pay for reservations that don't exist.)
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) connects to the world with a huge range of domestic and international carriers. It is 18 miles from the Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown (about 40 minutes in moderate traffic).
Taxis from LAX Airport to downtown are expensive because of the distance. Prime Time Shuttle, SuperShuttle, and other private shared services connect LAX with downtown hotels at a lower cost. FlyAway offers shuttle service to Union Station downtown, from where you can take a taxi or public transit to the Sheraton. (The hotel is near the 7th Street/Metro Center Station). Uber Los Angeles, Lyft, and SideCar are additional options.
LA Metro details the extensive bus and train network that connects downtown with the rest of city. Public transit is a convenient way to explore many popular attractions. (Note: If traveling to/from LAX Airport at night, we recommend shuttle bus service instead of public transit if you are not familiar with the route.)
The Sheraton also provides helpful information at its own website.
