PRESENTER INFORMATION
If you have questions about these guidelines, please contact Jim Westwood, the program coordinator, at MMVR18 [mmvr18<at>nextmed<dot>com].
Submission & Review
Submissions were due Thursday, July 15, 2010.
NEW THIS YEAR: If you wish to give an oral presentation, you should submit a "Long Paper," containing 3 or 4 pages of narrative description and 1 or 2 pages with illustrations. If the Organizing Committee finds your submission unsuitable for a lecture presentation, it may be invited for a poster presentation or it may be rejected entirely.
If you wish to be considered for poster presentation (only), please submit a "Short Paper," containing 1 page of narrative description and 1 page of illustrations. These papers also will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee and unsuitable submissions rejected.
If you would like to organize an "Independent Session" (Focus Session, Workshop, Tutorial, or Panel) for which you are responsible for presenters and content, then please complete and submit the Independent Session proposal form.
Please see the Submission Guidelines page for format instructions and the Independent Session proposal form.
Members of the Organizing Committee evaluate submissions and determine acceptance as either oral or poster presentation. They also review independent session proposals. Each abstract has multiple reviewers. Acceptance of oral and poster presentations is based on evaluations, conference educational objectives, and scheduling needs.
Presentations must focus on original and scientifically valid information and ideas. Commercial promotion and funding requests are not appropriate for this conference.
You may change designated presenter after abstract submission and any time before the conference. Please be sure to inform us of any changes. With rare exception, only the lead presenter is listed in conference publications or website for any given presentation.
There is a limit of 2 presentations per presenter / paid registration. This includes presentations transferred from another initial presenter after review and acceptance.
Accepted presentations will be announced in late September 2010. The initial conference schedule will be announced in October 2010 and revised as necessary thereafter. We ask presenters to notify us promptly of any schedule conflicts. We try to accommodate the schedule needs of all presenters to the extent possible.
As during prior conferences, we will invite casual, laptop-based demonstrations later this year. The July 15 deadline does not apply to these casual demonstrations.
Registration
All presenters must register for the conference. One presenter per presentation (only) will receive a discounted registration. Also, a discounted registration is available for full-time students who provide the required documentation.
We request a paid conference registration from each presenter by January 19, 2011. (This is also the hotel cut-off date, please note.) If you cannot pay by this date, you must contact us to explain the delay. Our aim here is to verify participation and maintain the integrity of the program.
Authors submitting papers for publication in the Proceedings must simultaneously send a paid conference registration. If a paper is not accepted, the registration will be refunded without penalty.
Conference registration will open in September 2010. Please note the cancellation and refund policies.
Registrations are transferable to another presenter at any time without penalty. Please notify us of any presenter changes as soon as possible so we can update the program.
If you must cancel your registration entirely, your payment will be refunded, less a $100 administrative fee, per written request by Friday, January 7, 2011. No refunds offered thereafter. You may also transfer your registration, less the $100 fee, to the following year's conference.
AMA, Inc. fully complies with the legal requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and rules and regulations thereof. If you are in need of ADA accommodation, please notify us. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate requests. If assistance is needed, please notify us by January 19, 2011.
